How Does One Deal With Family Pressure For Money?

What do you when your parents, siblings etc are asking you for money all the time? I'm feeling a little frustrated right now because I work hard, don't spend very much money on myself, but I feel like my frugality isn't being rewarded.

Rationally I understand that my family has to come first, and that my parents/relatives have done a lot for me. But I'm wondering why so many of these expenses are directed at me, when we have everyone in the family earning good money.

I never get any room to breathe. One month it is school fees, the next it is send money to so-and-so, then next month is taxes.

I'm a bit envious of my American friends (both black and white); for them they finish school, get a job, and then do whatever they want with the money they earn.
