AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), is a legally registered NGO operating
in Nigeria. AHF-Nigeria collaborates with the Federal Governments of
Nigeria and other partner institutions, to provide technical assistance
to these key stakeholders to deliver quality and comprehensive HIV/AIDS
treatment,
Care and Support, HIV counseling, and testing, Prevention, Nutrition
and Psychosocial services to people living with WV/AIDS.

Job Position Title: Pharmacy Technician
Reports to: Pharmacist
Location: Based in Kogi State.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Answers
questions and provides information to patients and providers on. drug
interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals;
Maintains
established policies and procedures concerning quality assurance,
security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs
Manages
appropriate data collection, such as client name, prescribed medication
and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory
Performs a monthly stock count;
Supervises the pre-dispensing of prescriptions for clients who are down referred to PHC sites.
Education and/or Experience
Suitable
candidate will be fresh graduate in Pharmacy or related field or
Pharmacy technician diploma of school of health technology with 3-5
years experience in use of ARV5 and drug logistics.
Job Title: Site Coordinator / ART Clinician
Reports To: HIV technical specialist/CPM
Location: Based in Abuja
Job Summary
The
ART clinician oversees the ART, PMTCT and prevention services of the
AHF program at the facility level. This position is crucial to the
achievement of AHF Nigeria’s programmatic targets and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In
close coordination with the facility medical officer, ensure the
provision of quality, evidence based ART, PMTCT, prevention and TB
services.
Coordinate monthly patient care team meetings.
Ensure efficient management of AHF’s finances and provide complete, timely and accurate reports.
Implement a continuous quality assurance and improvement program at the site level.
Ensures that all disseminated protocols are strictly adhered to by Site staff.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
Implement operational research protocols to answer important questions within AHF’s treatment and prevention programs.
Ensure quality of HIV treatment and TN services at the site.
Education and Experience
University graduate in Medicine.
At least two to three years experience in HIV treatment programs.
Experience in program management.
Experience with operational research and evidence based healthcare is an added advantage.
Must be highly organized and capable of effective multi-tasking
Job Position: Pharmacist
Report to: Pharmacist Manager/CPM
Location: Based in Abuja
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Reviews prescriptions issued by AHF Providers or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and clinical appropriateness;
Supervise
pharmacy personnel on pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutics processes and
procedures including monitoring of ADRs and adherence counseling.
Answers
questions and provides information to patients and providers on drug
interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals;
Maintains
established policies and procedures concerning quality assurance,
security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous waste drugs
Manages
appropriate data collection, such as client name, prescribed medication
and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory
Work with relevant clinic site personnel to maintain accurate drugs records system for efficient drug logistics
Ensure completion and submission accurate and auditable monthly drug reports from AHF clinic sites
Assists the CPM/Pharmacy Manager in preparing a quarterly drug forecast:
Provides weekly adherence reports, monthly reports on Down Referral;
Collaborate
with the relevant GON and states line ministries, departments or
agencies on pharmaceutical and drug logistics issues
Education and/or Experience
BSc Pharm with 2-3 years relevant experience with NGOs or similar development organisation
Job Position Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Reports to: Country Program Manager
Location: Based in Abuja
Job Summary
This
position is responsible for evaluating of component of comprehensive
ART program including prevention, clinical care and treatment for
patient management and monitoring and overall program monitoring and
evaluation. This role is also responsible for ensuring the collection
and management of quality data and providing the analysis of this data
for AHF prevention, care and treatment programs in Nigeria as well as
participating in training and support supervision of service providers
in order to ensure data quality.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Work
with the country and state office staff and government counterparts to
provide support and guidance on program/project monitoring and
evaluation of AHFs activities in Nigeria and its reporting requirements.
Provide support to sites in the state and interacting with site Program coordinators, Managers, M&E focal points,
M&E
officers of SACA/SASCP, other Implementing Agencies and local research
groups on needs and ensuring that these parties understand and can
support these requirements.
Work with site staff and CR0 partners to
support the correct Implementation and use of monitoring and evaluation
tools, and adherence to complete, correct and timely reporting.
Carryout
routine monitoring visits to project sites, including the conduct of
data quality assessments (DQAs) using official tools, assist in the
preparation of monthly reports, and provide supportive supervision.
Ensure
that the quality of program/project activities adheres to SOPs by
supporting the development and implementation of appropriate mechanisms
to ensure quality.
Provide direct technical assistance and capacity
building in the design and implementation of the program/project
Monitoring and Enhanced Evaluation components of the activities in the
communities served.
Assist in the development and maintenance of
computerized data capture of the program and provide technical
assistance and training to the staff at the sites responsible for data
entry.
Remain informed of current issues regarding Monitoring and
Evaluation of programs in the HIV/AIDS fields by review of current
literature; be alert to any implication of such research for project and
program activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Finished graduate studies, possession of MPH/MSc (epidemiology or statistics) an added advantage
At least two to three years of monitoring and evaluation experience, preferably in HIV care delivery models
Proficiency
in design, conduct and reporting of Data quality assurance/improvement
and continuous quality improvement metrics and methodology.
Proficient knowledge of EMR platforms, DHIS platforms and other relevant national data management systems
Experience in research design and conduct and evaluation of public health programs
